Registration Fee:

Registration fee is set at 700 Ringgit per person. Every Debater & Adjudicator will pay that amount each.

Observers shall pay 1000 Ringgit per person. As places for observers are limited, please inform the convener at yem@iiuaudc.com if you wish to sign up as an observer.

 

Number of Adjudicators

IIU AUDC shall observe the N=1 rule, (where for every one team registered, one judge must also register with that team).

Note: Asians format has three debaters to a team

Team Cap

Every institution will be allowed to send a maximum number of 3 teams. The number of team cap will be increased if the tournament team cap (of 100 teams) is not met by February 28th 2008.

We will open the team cap based on a first come first serve basis.

Dates for Registration:

January 1st - March 15th 2008: Registration Period 1

  • Teams who pay are guarenteed slots for the tournament
  • All payments must reach us by 11.00 pm (KL Time) March 15th 2008
  • Please notify us at rego@iiuaudc.com once the payment has been made
  • We highly recommend universities to pay 3-4 days in advance

March 16th - 22nd 2008: Verification Period 1

  • The Org. Comm will tabulate the paid teams during this period
  • No payment will be accepted during this phase
  • The Org. Comm assumes no responsibility if payment is not received prior to this period

March 23rd - April 14th 2008: Registration Period 2

  • The Org. Comm will announce the teams who have confirmed slots
  • The team cap is expected to be raised to 5 teams during this phase
  • All payments must reach us by 11.00 pm (KL time) April 14th 2008

April 15th - 24th 2008: Verification Period 2

  • The Org. Comm will tabulate the teams registered in Phase 2
  • The Org. Comm assumes no responsibility if payment is not received after this period

April 25th - May 4th 2008: Late Registration

  • If there are still spots here onwards, the org. comm will open entry to all.
  • Registration Fee will be increased to RM 800 per individual
  • Other terms & regulations apply 

May 5th - 9th 2008: Final tabulation of registered teams 

May 10th 2008: Announcement of delegates with confirmed registration to IIU AUDC 2008 

Note: The Org. Comm would like to emphasise that these dates are more or less set in stone. No changes to these dates are likely unless there is a clear, unavoidable event that requires the Org. Comm to alter the dates.
